As a teacher, we should also know when to be easy-going with our students sometimes. At the same time, we must also be sensitive that students are not robots to do homework and just concentrate with their studies all the time. They also need to let go and have fun even once in a while to ease all the tension before midterm exams. So, I did give my classes a TREAT of their lifetime!
And of course M3/12 playing “This Blows” too. In fact, they were super happy that I gave them this special treat considering that in their case everyday is a TEST DAY! So, with this game at least I get to let them feel happy with me.
Finally, we have M1/12 who is already used to activities although this week we got new faces who did the hosting and the games.
So sorry to say that M2/12 were not able to enjoy the fun for this week, but they will have their fun share by next week.
One more week to go before Midterm. Well, the question is what do our students in MEP do in preparation for their tests? Cram and study more? Not really!
Although we have to do intensive review of all our lessons from Day 1 of Semester Two, its not really hard and serious as you all think of. We still got the coolest idea to be able to integrate review studies and at the same time enjoying it. How? Take a look at the snapshots we prepared for you.
Voila! Art integration, for our Science Review! Instead of memorizing the formulas and illustrations, how about having a group work to draw, illustrate and label the parts of some important facts and information from our lessons. Added with the colorful words and label, I bet that we will surely remember the color!
This is the “Minute to Win It Edition of MEP 1/12. Like I said, on my previous blogs every Thursday is activity day for M1’s. And for this week, I realized that I need to spice up a bit the activity day considering that they are getting used to the “Boggles” game.
So, being true to my thoughts, I incorporated the “Minute to Win It” games as part of our day’s program. (Of course the chosen activity, I have to acknowledge that I used my “Watching TV” as my reference.) And here are the captured fun in the classroom.
But, you might ask, what did they do to be called as Champions? Just very simple, they played the game called “It Blows” and finish the task within 1 minute and that’s it …boom… YOU WIN! Hey look!
And of course, if we did highlight the SUPER FUN FACTOR of this week’s activity day, we should not forget as well the classic games that we used to play, here you go:
Hope you did have fun reading this, see you next time!
