Thailand prepares for the Cremation Ceremony of the late and most honored King Bhumibol Adulyadej which will be held on the 26th to 29th of October 2017. Marigold flowers are everywhere which symbolizes the King’s Birth color. Emblem of Rama 9 could also be seen everywhere. Busy roads and streets are way ready for the upcoming ceremony honoring the late King. Above all, citizens continued to mourn in black dress code and never fails to remember the beloved King.
King Bhumibol’s memorabilia were also displayed for people to recollect: from the King’s memories of childhood, love of music, the Queen and the King enchanting love, His own teachings to his children, and His most remarkable projects that helped the poor people of Thailand. Believe me, as the locals look on the displayed memorabilia either they kneel to pay respect to the most adored King, or burst in silent tears because of His passing. Even little children who were pure and innocent cried in tears just by merely looking at the King’s image and to some surprise brought me in a crying heart as well. Many still never forget to write their “Missing Wishes” to the late King. This is without a doubt how deeply and truly Thai people love King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
