Understanding Cells

In this activity M1/12 were tasked to create a 2D model of the Animal Cells and Plant Cells. At first, they took pictures of the re-use materials needed in completing the experiment.

Groups drew on what cell model to make. In groups, they laid on their respective tables the re-use materials they brought with them which are to be utilized in the making of the parts of the cells.

Having said that, some groups made nucleus out of plastic bottles cap, mitochondria from thread and others.

When groups’ work were done, they were asked to present and explain their work in front of the class followed by a Q&A from their teacher.

At the end of the experiment, students will be able to appreciate the beauty, importance and value of their effort in making the models. But most of all, they will be able to  make memories and a real-life group experience in making the cell model.
