Pig’s Heart Anatomy

It is very difficult to understand the circulatory system if you do not understand the organs involve in it. To understand the circulatory system, one must understand the main organ of it which is the HEART.

The complexity of the heart made the students difficult to understand in theory; however, by this dissection activity, the students were able to see the structure outside and inside of the heart which made them understand easier. The M2/2 students used the heart of the pig as their subject for dissection. Everyone was excited to do the dissection process because this activity was very fresh to them. When you look at them, you can feel their eagerness and excitement to conduct the experiment. Most of them were able to identify its parts and were even able to explain why the circulatory system has a double circulation.

This was an amazing experience for them to see what’s really in the heart not just by photographs but gaining the knowledge based on real hands-on experience.
